Questo film, nato da una collaborazione cinquantennale tra Christian Boltanski e Alain Fleischer, si può considerare la storia di una lunga amicizia e un dialogo tra due artisti. Iniziato nel 1969 con l’interminabile progetto cinematografico Quelques activités de Christian B., è continuato ovunque l’opera di Boltanski sia stata esposta. L’ultima ripresa ha avuto luogo nel dicembre 2019 in occasione della retrospettiva dell’artista al Centre Pompidou intitolata Faire son temps, prima della sua morte avvenuta nel luglio 2021.
This film, which arose from the fifty-year association between Christian Boltanski and Alain Fleischer, may be considered the story of a life-long friendship and dialogue between the two artists. Beginning in 1969 with the interminable film project Quelques activités de Christian B., it continued wherever Boltanski's work has been exhibited. The latest revival took place in December 2019 on the occasion of artist's retrospective at the Centre Pompidou entitled Faire son temps, before his death in July 2021.
