Il documentario segue Marc Quinn, uno degli Young British Artists di maggior successo, nel corso di un intero anno, durante il quale l’artista crea ed espone nuovi lavori nelle gallerie e in istituzioni pubbliche in diverse parti del mondo. Il film rivela le problematiche di un artista di successo nel dinamico ma spietato mondo dell’arte contemporanea e osserva da vicino l’intero processo creativo delle sue opere, dall’ideazione alla produzione finale. Mostra inoltre l’enorme scultura gonfiabile di Alison Lapper Pregnant che ha dominato lo scenario veneziano, generando non poche polemiche durante la Biennale del 2013. Il film è arricchito da testimonianze di personalità come Ai Weiwei, Elton John e Lionel Ritchie.

The documentary follows Marc Quinn, one of Britain's most successful Young British Artists, over a year in his life as he creates and exhibits new work in galleries and major art institutions around the world. The film reveals what it really takes to be a successful artist in the dynamic but cutthroat contemporary art world and observes closely as Quinn comes up with two brand new ideas for sculptures and then sees them through to final production. It also shows the enormous effort involved in putting on major new shows around the world most particularly in Venice during the 2013 Biennale where Quinn's massive inflatable sculpture of the pregnant Alison Lapper controversially dominated the Venetian skyline. Celebrities like Ai Wei-Wei, Elton John and Lionel Ritchie make guest appearances throughout the film.
