Cao Shu racchiude l’intera storia dell’arte in un cortometraggio sperimentale che dura poco più di un minuto. Nel corso del film il personaggio centrale compie piccoli movimenti quotidiani come fumare una sigaretta, controllare l’ora o bere un drink e attraversa i diversi stili che hanno caratterizzato la storia dell’arte, dall’antico Egitto alla Pop art. Poco più di un minuto per lasciarsi incantare da questa incredibile animazione.

Cao Shu captures the history of art in an experimental short film that lasts just over a minute. Throughout the film, the central character goes through the small motions of everyday movements like smoking a cigarette, checking the time and having a drink and goes through the different styles that have characterized the history of art, from ancient Egypt to Pop art. Just over one minute to review the most beautiful story in the world and let yourself be enchanted by this incredible animation.
Cao Shu vive e lavora a Hangzhou, insegna alla China Academy of Art dal 2012. Realizza soprattutto film di animazione e installazioni. Le sue opere sono state esposte presso musei e gallerie in diversi paesi del mondo e fanno parte di importanti collezioni pubbliche e private. Ha presentato i suoi lavori nei più importanti festival di settore e ha vinto premi come il New Narrative Award della Long Week of Short Films di Shangai e il Beijing International Short Film Festival Award.
