Filmed in a desolate desert area of the American Southwest, the film spotlights the story of Land Art between the late Sixties and the early Seventies. The film tells the story of a group of visionary artists who were willing to risk their future careers and leave a clear sign of demarcation and distance from the hyper-speculative world of art. Previously unpublished archive materials and rare interviews with the leading Land Art protagonists including Robert Smithson, Walter De Maria and Michael Heizer unveil little known aspects of contemporary art.
