ART WAR è la storia di giovani artisti egiziani che esprimono la propria ribellione attraverso i graffiti e la musica alternativa. Il film li segue nel corso di due anni e mezzo di anarchia post-rivoluzionaria, dalla Primavera Araba del 2011, fino alla caduta della Fratellanza Musulmana nel 2013 e descrive il proliferare della creatività in seguito alla caduta di Mubarak, mostrando in che modo l’arte possa diventare un'arma rivoluzionaria.

ART WAR is the story of young, creative Egyptian artists who express their own rebellion through the means of graffiti murals and alternative music. The film follows them through two and a half years of post-revolutionary anarchy, from the 2011 Arab Spring to the end of the Muslim Brotherhood in 2013 and describes the growth of their creativity after the downfall of Mubarak, showing how art can be used as a revolutionary weapon.
