Ispirata al consumismo, l'arte di Jeff Koons mira a superare il confine tra la cultura d’élite e quella di massa. L’artista riprende oggetti di uso comune che colloca in teche o ingigantisce oltre misura, elaborando dei ready made nei quali il kitsch assurge a opera d’arte. Nel suo studio un team di oltre 100 assistenti collabora alla realizzazione delle sue opere, utilizzando un’ampia gamma di tecniche e materiali.

The film takes us into the world of one of the most famous and controversial artists of our time. Inspired by consumerism, the art of Jeff Koons strives to cross the boundary between the élite and mass culture. The artist uses everyday objects in display cases or magnified beyond measure, realizing ready made objects in which kitsch becomes a work of art. In his studio a team of more than 100 assistants collaborate in the realization of his works, using a variety of techniques and materials.
