Eadweard Muybridge’s famous series of images of a galloping horse entitled The Horse in Motion is considered a milestone in the history of photography. For the first time ever, Muybridge managed to capture images of movements faster than the human eye can perceive. This documentary attempts to explain how the legendary photographer managed to defy the technical limitations of his time and, through interviews with experts and historians, delves into the story of a mysterious man who lived many lives and helps us better understand one of the foremost precursors of cinema.
