Il regista ripercorre la forza trainante di questo artista inquieto e cosmopolita e crea un dialogo tra il suo lavoro, i suoi sogni d'infanzia e le influenze dei luoghi più importanti dove ha soggiornato, come Pechino, la Patagonia, il Niger, New York e Sent, suo villaggio natale nei Grigioni.
This film takes us on an intriguing foray into the eventful life and the eclectic art of contemporary Swiss artist Not Vital. The director traces the driving force of this restless cosmopolitan artist, and establishes a dialogue between his work, his childhood dreams, and the influences of the most important places where he stayed such as Beijing, Patagonia, Niger, New York, and Sent, his native village in the Grisons.

Pascal Hofmann è nato nel 1977 e vive a Flims, Canton Grigioni, Svizzera. Ha conseguito il diploma di Master of Arts in Film alla Zurich University of the Arts e dal 2016 è un autore e regista indipendente. I suoi film sono stati invitati in numerosi Festival internazionali, come: Wintersong – a film on Dakota Suite, 2006, che ha ricevuto una menzione onoraria al festival Visions du Réel; Steinschlaf, 2006; Daniel Schmid – Le chat qui pense, 2010, premiato con il Babelsberger Media Prize; Jau ta dun la glina – Not Vital, 2018.
