Since 1985, the anonymous collective of women artists-activists Guerrilla Girls have taken to the streets dressed in black, with their faces concealed behind large gorilla masks, engaging the public in their battle against the gender and racial discrimination in the art world. "Frida Kahlo" and "Kathe Kollwitz" are the pseudonyms adopted by two of the members when they operate as Guerrilla Girls. Tracing their history, this film explores the relevance and impact of their fight for equality.

Malika Zouhali-Worrall è una regista e montatrice britannico-marocchina e vive a New York. Nel 2012 ha co-diretto con Katherine Fairfax Wright il documentario vincitore del Teddy Award Call Me Kuchu, sull'attivista ugandese David Kato; nel 2015, con David Osit, realizza Games You Can't Win e Thank You for Playing, premiato con un Emmy Award come ‘Oustanding Arts and Culture Documentary’. Ha diretto inoltre i cortometraggi Strange Grace: The Art of Amyra Léon e Video Visit, e montato il documentario Through The Night diretto da Loira Limbal e segnalato dal Guardian come uno dei migliori documentari del 2020.
